Grape Curious Wine Classes

Choose from private, guided wine classes that make wine easier to understand and more fun to enjoy.

1. Wine 101: What Am I Tasting?

Learn how to taste wine, what to look for in the glass, and how to describe what you like. We’ll cover acidity, tannin, sweetness, body, alcohol, aromas and flavors, plus the basics of reading a wine label, understanding common wine terms, and knowing what actually matters when choosing a bottle.

Prerequisite: Curiosity. No need to detect notes of wet dog, old gym socks, or the inside of a vacuum cleaner.

Starting at $300* | 75–90 minutes | 6–10 guests
2. Find Your Wine

Taste different styles side by side and figure out what you actually like — and, more importantly, why you like it.

Learn how grapes, climate, winemaking, and style affect what ends up in your glass, so you can recognize your preferences and feel more confident trying something new.

Prerequisite: A willingness to stop pretending you like a wine just because someone told you it was “good,” and find what you love.

Starting at $450* | 90 minutes | 8–14 guests
3. Advanced Tasting Techniques

Elevate your tasting skills by focusing on structure and complexity. We’ll dive deep into blind tasting methodology, deductive reasoning, and identifying quality indicators across premium wine regions.

Perfect for those looking to sharpen their palate for professional exams or serious personal enjoyment.

Prerequisite: Completion of Wine 101 or basic understanding of wine structure.

Starting at $350* | 90 minutes | 4–8 guests
4. Mystery Bottles: The Blind Tasting Party

Taste first. See the bottle later.

Compare wines, make guesses, talk about what you notice, and discover how much labels, price, and expectations can influence what you think you like.

Prerequisite: A sense of humor and the ability to be spectacularly wrong in public.

Starting at $350* | 90 minutes | 8–14 guests
5. Old World vs. New World

Ready to go a little deeper? Taste wines from classic European regions alongside wines from places such as the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Chile, or Argentina.

Learn how climate, winemaking traditions, and place can change the expression of the same grape or wine style.

Prerequisite: You’ve graduated from “red or white?” and are ready to care, at least a little, about where the wine came from.

Starting at $450* | 90 minutes | 8–14 guests
6. Private Curated Events

Want something different? I’ll create a personalized wine experience around your group, occasion, menu or curiosity.

Choose a region, grape, style, food pairing or theme — or tell me what sounds fun and we’ll build it from there.

Prerequisite: Good company, an open mind, and a willingness to try something new.

Due to laws beyond our control, the prices above do not include wine. We’ll create a wine selection that fits your preferences and budget. You’ll pay the retailer directly for the wine, and I’m happy to pick it up for you. I also encourage you to help your guests plan ahead for a safe ride home after the tasting.
